Doc Martin Analysis Notes -
Sound::
Before Louisa faints:
Music climaxes and speeds up, sounds of the ambience diegetic sounds die out (realistic sound) to create an empathetic feeling of louisa fainting - we know she is going to faint before she does.
When Doctor comes over:
music stops completely, breaking the spell of the moment - coming back to reality. Mystical music over could signify that there is nothing fairytale like about him.
Mise en scene::
Opens on a coastline shot, rocks and cliffs - not a beach like coastline. Boat in the sea, looking like a leisurely boat rather than a working boat - tourist area. Property in the background on the hills - big houses, multi storied, perhaps seaside villas overlooking a bay. Green grassy land and blue skies suggesting nice weather.
Panning into establishing shot - views of fishing boats and 'play' boats for leisure, panning from bay into the streets of stone buildings, winding narrow streets, mid shot of the doctor tracking backwards. Mid shot suggests importance of the doctor as the camera follows him.

Logo Designs
as a group we spent a fair bit of time designing and drawing out logos from our thriller title research, in the end we selected the first logo however chose to put the moon behind the font rather than in the top left.
